Adrienne Haeberle

L.Ac., MSAc, MA

After a serious bus accident left me temporarily paralyzed in my right arm with more than forty spinal fractures, spinal fusion surgery was recommended. Trusting there was another way, I turned to acupuncture, gentle movement, and dietary changes. Over time, my body healed in ways that even my doctors found remarkable - deepening my belief in the body's capacity to heal when given the right support.

My practice is rooted in compassion, intuition, and a deeply holistic perspective on health and healing. I combine precise acupuncture with thoughtful guidance around diet and lifestyle, inviting patients to reconnect with their bodies and cultivate a greater sense of balance, ease, and resilience. I treat a wide range of conditions - including neuropathy, insomnia, digestive disorders, migraines, generational trauma, pain, autoimmune conditions, anxiety, and depression - while often uncovering the deeper connections between symptoms that may otherwise seem unrelated. I have advanced training in perimenopause and menopause care, supporting women through this important transition with clarity and grace. I am also trained in Facial Acupuncture and certified in Microneedling, offering treatments that harmonize inner vitality with outer radiance.

  • I earned my Master's of Acupuncture at the Pacific College of Health and Science in New York City, where I trained in both community clinic and hospital settings. I also hold an MA in Food Studies and Food Culture from NYU, and I am a certified Holistic Health Counselor.

At the heart of my work is the understanding that healing extends beyond the physical body. I recognize the role of energy, emotional imprinting, and the unseen forces that shape our health and lived experience. Through years of meditation practice, energy work, and time spent in traditional healing environments - including working with plant medicine in its indigenous context - I have cultivated a deep respect for these dimensions. This perspective informs the presence and attentiveness I bring to each treatment, allowing me to meet patients not only where they are physically, but where they are energetically and emotionally as well.

Outside of work and time with my children, I enjoy exploring local food markets (wherever in the world I am - coming soon - Taiwan as an attending physician at Taipei City Hospital), reading Acupuncture esoterica, swimming, practicing qi gong, weight training, and foraging for wild edibles - especially mushrooms. These practices keep me grounded in the rhythms of the natural world and continually inform my perspective on healing, nourishment, and the interconnectedness of all things.

TESTIMONIALS

“I felt better the very same day.”

Adrienne asked thoughtful questions that really helped get to the root of my pain. After my first visit, I experienced about 90% less pain, which was incredible. I had been feeling so discouraged that I was ready to retire from my job, but Adrienne gave me back hope and strength in my foot.

“Adrienne’s care goes beyond the treatment itself.”

I really appreciate the nutrition advice she shares alongside my acupuncture treatments. She has a wonderful bedside manner and always lets me know what she’s about to do, which makes me feel comfortable and cared for. After my last treatment, my erratic sleep improved, and I slept through the night for a couple of nights afterward. I’m hoping to continue this treatment to extend those results. Her treatments are already perfection.

-P.H., 75

“Adrienne truly listens.”

Adrienne is an excellent acupuncturist who listens carefully whenever I share what’s going on with me. You can feel how genuine she is and how dedicated she is to helping her patients. After my treatments, I consistently feel relief from body pain and leave feeling well taken care of.

-F.T., 61

 “Meditative and therapeutic.”

I’ve been receiving treatments from Adrienne for a few years now, and every time I leave a session I feel relaxed, rejuvenated, and aware. The sessions are meditative and therapeutic, and I walk away with a calm feeling of presence, as if I can see and feel from a clearer place than before. Her sessions give a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle, and my spirit feels uplifted when I enter the world again.

“Communicative,
inquisitive, warm, & attentive”

My experience getting acupuncture with Adrienne was fantastic. I came in for help with stress and anxiety, and I left the session feeling much more relaxed, calm, rejuvenated and slightly buzzing (in the best way). Adrienne is communicative, inquisitive, warm, and attentive. She consistently checked in with me through every step of the way. Highly recommend.

FAQ

  • Before your treatment, eat a light meal and wear comfortable clothing so acupuncture points on the arms and legs can be easily accessed. It’s also best to avoid coffee for about an hour beforehand.

After treatment, there are no strict restrictions, but I encourage patients to give their body time to integrate the work we’ve done. Try to avoid excessive alcohol, iced drinks, or intense workouts for the rest of the day. Instead, keep things gentle - stay warm, drink room-temperature water or decaffeinated tea, and allow yourself some time to rest.

  • Acupuncture needles are extremely fine - much thinner than those used for injections. Most people feel little to nothing during insertion and often find treatments deeply relaxing.

  • The first session will involve a comprehensive intake to ensure I make a treatment plan most suited to YOU. Thereafter, each session begins with a brief check-in about how you’ve been feeling. After the needles are placed, you’ll rest comfortably for about 20–40 minutes while the treatment works. Many patients describe this time as deeply restorative.

  • Every person is different. Some concerns respond quickly, while others benefit from a series of treatments over time. After your first visit, we’ll discuss a treatment plan tailored to your needs and goals.

  • Many people leave feeling calm, grounded, and refreshed. Others notice improved sleep, reduced tension, or a subtle shift in how their body feels over the following days.

  • To maintain a comfortable and therapeutic environment, we kindly ask patients to arrive in a clean and refreshed state and to avoid wearing strong fragrances or perfumes. A calm, neutral space helps ensure the clinic remains relaxing and restorative for everyone.

  • Appointment times are reserved especially for you. If you need to change or cancel your visit, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice so the time may be offered to another patient. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a 100% cancellation fee. Thank you for helping us maintain a schedule that respects the time and care of all patients.

  • Yes. Acupuncture is a licensed healthcare profession in many places, and practitioners complete extensive training in both acupuncture and the broader diagnostic system of Traditional Chinese Medicine. To become a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in New York, you must complete a comprehensive program consisting of a minimum of 4,050 hours of training, this includes graduate-level education, clinical training, and ongoing professional development which includes classroom instruction and supervised clinical experience, approved by the NYS Education Department. This typically represents a 3-4 year master's-level program.

Do you take insurance?

I do not currently accept insurance. If your plan offers out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill (itemized receipt) for you to submit for possible reimbursement. Cosmetic treatments such as facial acupuncture and microneedling are typically not covered by insurance.
